ANNUAL TOWN MEETING 2023

Minutes of the Carrington with New Bolingbroke Annual Town meeting held on Tuesday 23 May 2023 Starting at 6:30pm

Present: Councillor Ken Rundle (Chairman), 7 members of the public present and Mrs Victoria Clark, the Town Council Clerk, taking the notes.

The meeting was opened at 18:30pm

1.   Welcome from the Mayor and introduction to your Town Councillors and Clerk

The Mayor welcomed those attending 

2.   Notes from the Annual Parish meeting held on Tuesday 24 May 2022: To resolve as a correct record by those that attended last year’s meeting and for the Chairman of the meeting to sign the official minutes

It was agreed with no objections to accept the minutes as a correct record and the Chairman signed them

3.   To receive short reports from outside bodies 

Lincolnshire County Councillor and East Lindsey District Councillor, Tom Ashton gave an update for the past year

4.   Receive a copy of the 2022 – 2023 financial report

The financial report had been handed out to those attending. At the end of March 2023, the balance was £20,262.21 which includes reserves to run the council for one year, War Memorial, Parish Land and asset upkeep, Town Council Civic and election costs.

5.   Parking on Parish Land: To receive ideas on how to keep right of ways and green areas clear of parking

The discussion ended with the Parish Council being asked to write to the Town Hall to try to help with a way to organise parking for their events and that there would be research into the ownership of the land.

6.   BT Phone Kiosk: To receive ideas for usage

It was suggested that the kiosk be used for a micro museum

7.   Conservation status for New Bolingbroke: To discuss For & Against  

This would need researching as to the pros and cons and a speaker would need to be arranged 

8.   Short comments and statements from residents 

None received
